Everybody knows that by attaching RGB leds to an SSD, the read/write speeds will increase by 15-25%, depending on how brilliant effects you can pull off with the leds.

Supporting dual M2 drives would be very useful when you want to migrate an old M2 drive to a newer one.

Interesting indeed..... Not sure if I'm going to go through the trouble of reconfiguring my system with a modded BIOS to enable NVME booting and lose a GPU, or wait for the new new from AMD. And hope that I can get the clock speeds I so dream of from them.

Is there any potential performance degradation for using something like this?
I mean vs direct connection of M2 SSD.

I look forward to when they can just sell the RGB, without the need for a product. We're getting there...

Wanted to comment the same jayztwocents video - overheating RGB SSD.
I'd like to add that it did so very quickly - minute if not less, even during boot.

I like this one. But at this point it is not good investment. Why?
It requires two PCIe x4 slots. In consumer market that means two PCIe x16 slots.
On x470 board like mine, it means lowest PCIe x16 slot which goes through chipset and using it will disable lower M.2 slot, therefore no gain.
Then I would have to use middle of three PCIe x16 slots for 2nd connection which would effectively cut PCIe slot configuration to x8 + x8... reducing available bandwidth for 1st slot with GPU.
Once PCIe 4.0 is around, those will be problem of past as long as chipset handles everything properly.

But it is still good product for workstations or older systems which have no M.2 slots.

Is there a reason why this couldn't just run at pci-e x8 mode and not need the extra riser cable?
