I don't know boss, maybe 200hz panels gonna be new '60hz' vs '120hz' eye opener.
Gotta actually see and compare the difference. One thing for sure, optimal 200 fps (2560x1080) for 200hz panel won't be easy task for CPU and GPU.
And since its VA panel, its not aimed for competetive players, its for consumers who tend to enjoy in-game graphics.

120 is plenty.
with bt 20.20 120 htz will be the maximum with dp1.3 im looking forward to them displays.

Even with little worse response time on pixel level 200Hz is better than 120Hz.
Refresh rate is like disco strobe light. Seeing 30 times per second (with millisecond strobes) is worse than 60 times per second with slowly diminishing light impulses which leave minor trail from motion.

"Okay, the refresh rates are just getting dim-witted. I mean who needs 200 Hz unless you have bionic eyes?"
I definitely need 200Hz! It's amazing how much difference a couple of hz can make in CS GO. Still wouldn't get this though as it's only 1080 and no hdr.

And price would be 1000$.

I still choose 4k over 2k 120 or 200hz if price not much difference

SRGB, really?
How about rec.2020, HDR, Dolby Vision, quantum dot, OLED...
TVs are more advanced 🙁
Is it that hard to combine high refresh rate with nice colors and contrast?

Hmmh 2x 1080 for that 200hz. I like high refresh rate monitors but we don't have cards to drive them especially in newer games.

That looks really good.
2560x1080... ohh... Nevermind.

3 of these mounted vertically 3240x2560...not sure the curve panel will be forgiving in this orientation.

more hz=less lag(in overall)
so y, more hz in this case helps.
Need to wait 4 tests of this monitor, then we will see how it works in games.

It's not like you have to run it at 200hz tho, I still run my 144hz screens at 120hz most of the time as my eyes seem to prefer multiples of 60, no clue why, but I suppose 200hz is more of a future proof thing but really by the time cpu's and gpu's are capable of pushing games to 200 fps with all the bells and whistles there'll be better screens out there anyway and as others have mentioned the res here isn't anything special.

This screen may have a little ghosting so I would happily run this @120hz to resolve that problem.

Good grief, my 4-year-old 1920x1200 HannsG TN panel murders my old 20" Sony Trinitron sort-of-flatscreen CRT...;) It isn't even close...! I don't get the fascination with CRTs--at all...ugh. There are many reasons why CRTs aren't made any more besides shipping weight, lol...;)
And as far as making 30" monitors that do 2560x1080 I think that's purely nuts...why increase the width resolution to a nice number for 30" while leaving height constrained to a paltry 1080P? Give me 2560x1600/1440P and now we are talking...and I agree with HH completely..."200Hz" sounds like they pulled the number out of their collective posterior. Got to be some kind of marketing pablum...
