I've always wanted a gaming laptop , but been put off by their longevity and not being able to upgrade them plus in-superior graphical power . Now that we are seeing full desktop gpu being used gives me hope that oneday i will trade in my bulkie tower PCs for a powerful laptop , so gaming can become more portable , like using when on holiday around the pool 🙂 and especially those long boring flights that seem to go on forever .

can vouch for that, the times are soon over where NB and Desktop counterpart GPUs where much slower, i already using a DTR for work and traveling and gaming on the go, namely clevo P771DM-G, 6700k @ 4.2Ghz in there + 980m with high OC (1400/2900) and yeah it's absolutely fantastic good thing too is that it has TB3.0 i'm interested if i could potentially put a desktop pascal for example in there via an eGPU, and no it doesn't get that hot too, so yeah i could see myself doing that too that i banish my desktop 🙂

Issues with gaming on flights are: - For long flights battery is not enough. - Lack of space even for a portable laptop. I've taken my Lenovo X220 12.5'' laptop on several flights and I STRUGGLE to fit the laptop whilst in a flight. How on earth would you fit a 17+ inch monster laptop aboard? Unless you travel business or first class you ain't no way fitting anything larger than 13'' in economy...
