Maybe Acer figured out how to let other streaming companies to use their projector to inject ads during the streaming, thus lowering the price. Sorry for harsh supposition, but I can easily see it a reality.

Years back I grabbed an optoma 4k projector for next to £1,000 (Possibly a refurb HD20). Not glad that the price STILL hasn't reach reasonable levels. $1,100 isn't fun. P.s. Microsoft... just look at all of this business you're missing.
