I've had similar experiences with Asus screens, only when buying at initial release, maybe its just early issues, seems to happen nowadays, no idea why.

I recently bought Acer Predator and more than happy with it. It took some to calibrate the colours but once it's done, its fine.

Running the Acer Xb270U and never had an issue with it since the first day. Am I the only one that does not have the space to properly use a 65" screen at all? 😕
