The whole year will pass without any improvement on the gpu pricing. What a sad times.

Looks like my RTX 390 will be my last ever pc upgrade Luckily I got it for £1475.00, my Daughter has the Xbox X and that for £400 is a great gaming system, I think this pricing madness will really kill PC gaming people will cross over to consoles

Yep, it'll need to change after this year or before the end of it preferably!

I mean, sure, you can get a RTX 3090, which you never should get as a normal person. Getting a RX 6600 or 6500 when that launches, or a Geforce 3050 or whatever will be the midrange SKU from nvidia, those are the sellers and they are still priced below a Xbox or PS4. PC gaming was always about 1.5-2x as expensive as a console, for a decently powerful rig for 1080p /1440p gaming. If you want to play at 4k, you'll also be buying a seriously expensive display for your PC, you are not doing that as a first time buyer of a gaming rig. Not that I disagree. I won't be paying cllose to 2000€ for a GPU. That's the price of a complete high-end system.

This is actually the cheapest I've seen the 3060 since launch is actually under 1000$ cad, 970$ lol or 771$ usd what a joke.

I guess my RTX 2070S will have to last another year..... ......or more.

I grabbed a 1060 for £170. It's okay for 1080p but would have preferred a 2060/3060.

Those are entry level cards. If they are going to cost as much as mainstream cards of the previous generations, it's bad news.

There are plenty of 3060s in stores now here, but the prices are not going down. I guess that the stories about the MSRP being fake are confirmed now. If TSMC is price hiking, Samsung is not...

Looks likely that I'll shift priorities and hobbies.

BOYCOTT THEM ALL. Yeah. BOYCOTT. All those years the gullible were saying for the higher prices "you pay +x% for the +x% performance". We saw it with the GTX1080Ti, GTX Titan, RTX2000 series and RTX3000 seiries. We saw it with RX6000 series now AMD is competitive. For heaven sake Radeon *60 and Nvidia *60 were bellow the mid range price ($120/150) Now we pay more than previous top of the range cards. (MSRP $400+) Within a generation prices doubled and they will double again with the next gen if we do not stop buying GPUs. We do not have to upgrade but they need our money. So we have all the power. Wake up. Is a racket. Stop buying GPUs completely until both companies feel it in their pockets. Especially Nvidia which doesn't sell much else. This is a war we can win within months having NO loses and casualties. Spread the word.

You can't even buy good old video cards second hand now for reasonable price.

You can if it has less than 4gb vram.

Pretty much, I've noticed this as well... it's frustrating.

You can get a 1080Ti for around £350 a 1080 for £280. Personally 1080Ti has enough VRAM too as I have met few games using 8GB making the RTX2000 except the expensive 2080Ti redundant.
