i don't know if going up is a nice idea...
Phone sale result show the worse global sale since over a decade, on whatever model or brand,
from low cost to over hyper high end, after many years of result that are "under expectation result" (mean bad).
This is going to suck big time 😏, here comes the price hike on nvme's , ssd's and ram ... It seems Best Buy stores got notice on this as they have already started to increased the prices of nvme's , ssd's and desktop ram ddr4 and ddr5. I went to my local best Buy stores a couple of days ago and i did noticed they are getting more expensive.
I must be honest here, I really think the price is extremely low for the money you pay.
Think back ten years, what was the GB to $ ratio at? 1:1? 2:1? 3:1?
Right now, you can get https://www.crucial.com/ssd/t700/CT1000T700SSD5 (excellent review HH) at a ratio of 1:0.16799 (the linked drive is $167.99 for one TB)
That, in my opinion is worth TWICE that number.
I am thinking of the bigger picture here my fellow gurus. We got scaling, we got virtualized geometry, we got real time non-baked global lighting and we got streaming content from online sources.
Hate to sound like Bill Gates here, but I think our home storage demands are easily met and the prices CLEARLY reflect this.
Global prices are going up for everything...this, this is just a 'blip' and I really would not worry, as we are getting insane value from storage and incredible streaming content on tap.
Things are good...
Unless something breaks, I think I'm set for the next couple of years.
I love it when I catch valleys in pricing chart ;-)
Five SSDs in this computer, all the spinning rust has moved to the NAS.
Nice title ! First time I see that happen, cool ;-)
