Well, let's consider the two possibilities. If it's a troll, then that's that. If it's not, and someone got a hold of the 3dfx brand (didn't nvidia own it? Maybe it's something that can lapse when not used?) then I'd say the best we can expect here is some kind of reproduction of 3dfx retro hardware.

Well..new g̶a̶m̶i̶n̶g̶ mining card ?

they wanna enter the aib market and get them some of that sweet scalper's profit.

Terrible timing is scalper's profit is what they're after, so obviously what we'll see is simply the launch of another AIB brand. Big deal. The only vague suspense is whether they'll go red or green. Unless of course they've spent the last 20 years developing, and now manufacturing, a completely new GPU architecture in absolute secrecy. So yeah, it's probably that.

I dont think they can enter anything. Nvidia owns them. It would be the same as Ati trying to get back without amd.

So what possibilities are left then? I can't think of anything very exciting anyway.

Could be some fan made project.

Well, considering they wrote "an major" I think it's fair to assume it's just a troll.

I reported this to Twitter. That's a troll.

nvidia does not own 3dx, the trademark expired in 2016 nvidia does own the technology properties, api names, product branding, etc.

I'm calling it a troll, its been 20 years and if something great was coming I'm sure major news sites would have articles on it.

Hmmm .... I smell a troll , we will see!

They're bringing back 3dfx Glide, but as an adult lubricant.

Perhaps they're just going to be an AIB partner with Nvidia chips, maybe with some special tweaks.

Possibility three, Nvidia will release cards under this brand at a premium.

But that wouldn't be the best we can expect 😛 I'd prefer new-made Voodoo boards.
