Amazing stuff ! However, assuming price per stack remains largely unchanged, it means that we're getting at best a 2.5x increase in SSD capacities by 2021 for a similar price like today, which is still not enough to dethrone HDD's as TB/price kings. An 8 TB drive is currently the most price efficient (at least where I live), with as low as 200 Eur for one. 10 TB units are breathing down it's neck... For 200 Eur, it's only possible to get an 1TB SSD. However, if they somehow manage to keep the pace, 2025 -might- be the year when conventional drive and SSD are dukeing it out in price and capacity. At that point, HDD's will probably lose due to their inferior speeds... We will see.
