Xiaomi introduces an 11-inch Android tablet with a 120Hz display and a Snapdragon 870 processor.

Xiaomi launches the Mi Pad 5 tablet. There will be Snapdragon 860 and 870 variants, as well as a 5G variant of the Pro. The tablets have an 11-digit serial number "A 2560x1600 pixel display with a refresh rate of 120Hz.



The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 tablets, on paper, are among the fastest Android tablets available at the moment. The standard model includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor, 6GB of LPDDR5 memory, and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage. The Mi Pad 5 Pro features a Snapdragon 870 processor and a Pro 5G variant with the same processor and 8GB of RAM.

Each of the three tablets has an 11 on it "A 16:10 aspect ratio screen with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels. The LCD monitor features a 120Hz refresh rate and a 10-bit color depth. The screen supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, and the manufacturer claims that it reaches a peak brightness of 500cd/m2. Additionally, the screen features a TrueTone feature that adjusts the colors and brightness to the ambient light.

Additionally, the Pro 5G model features the most advanced cameras. The primary camera features a 50-megapixel sensor, while the secondary camera features a 5-megapixel sensor equipped with an ultra-wide angle lens. The Mi Pad 5 Pro also features two cameras, but the primary sensor has a resolution of 13 megapixels. The Mi Pad 5 is equipped with only that primary camera.

The Mi Pad 5 Pro's 8600mAh battery can be charged quickly at 67W. The Mi Pad 5's battery capacity is 8720mAh, but it is limited to 33W fast charging. All Mi Pad 5 tablets support the addition of a magnetic keyboard and stylus.

Xiaomi announced the tablets exclusively for the Chinese market. It is unknown at this time whether an international release is in the works. The entry-level model is priced at 1999 yuan. Converted to approximately 318 euros including VAT. The most expensive version costs 3499 yuan, which is approximately 557 euros when converted with VAT. Xiaomi is reintroducing Android tablets for the first time in three years.
