It boasts robust specifications, including an impressive Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of 2.5 million hours and a write endurance of 1 Drive Write Per Day (DWPD).

Western Digital Corporation, headquartered in California, USA, introduced the "Ultrastar DC SN655," a 2.5-inch U.3 SSD featuring dual-port support.

The Ultrastar DC SN655 is designed to cater to demanding operational needs, such as disaggregation storage, object storage, and storage servers, which necessitate uninterrupted functionality. Moreover, the SSD is equipped with power loss protection and end-to-end data path protection, ensuring data integrity during continuous operations.

The product comes in three capacities: 3.84 TB, 7.68 TB, and 15.38 TB, all housed within the 15mm thick U.3 form factor. Its performance metrics include sequential read speeds of up to 6.8 GB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 3.7 GB/s. For random operations, the SSD achieves up to 1.1 million IOPS for read operations and up to 125,000 IOPS for write operations. Western Digital stands behind the product's durability with a generous 5-year warranty.

Accompanying this release are additional solutions: the "OpenFlex Data24," a 2U rack-sized 24-bay storage platform with expandable capacity of up to 368TB; the "RapidFlex C2000," an NVMe-oF compatible fabric bridge expansion card; and the "RapidFlex A2000," the fabric bridge controller. These solutions expand Western Digital's portfolio to meet the diverse needs of data center deployments.
