Thinkstation with AMD Threadripper Pro 3995WX gets listed for 18000 USD

Meet the Lenovo ThinkStation P620, a workstation PC from a series you can purchase at your etailer. However, a model with an AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro WX 3995 just surfaced.

Depending on where you but the workstation you'll pay anywhere from 18K to 19K USD. The 64-core AMD Threadripper Pro 3995 WX processor found inside the ThinkStation P620 is clocked at 2.7 GHz with a max 4.3 GHz with boost, it is enough to break PassMark's world performance record with 88,675 points. The previous lead was held by AMD Threadripper Pro 3990 WX, with 79,746 points. The professional models in the Ryzen Threadripper series share the same cores as the non-Pro versions. The main difference is in the lower frequencies and the absence of overclocking. They support up to eight memory channels with the possibility of operating with up to 2 TB of DDR4-3200 MHz RAM with up to 128 PCIe 4.0 lanes.

18000 USD

That's still quite cheap. When you compare with Dell's Precision 7920 which can go upwards of 200k
