Thermalright Le Grand Macho RT CPU Cooler
With the Le Grand Macho RT we offer an actively cooled version of our famous semi-passive flagship. Thanks to the silent-running TY 147 B with fluid dynamic bearing, the Le Grand Macho RT can cool up to 280 Watt. The design of the heat sink has not been changed and is still asymmetrical. This offers the highest possible compatibility to the most recent motherboards.
Thus it is guaranteed that the Le Grand Macho RT neither blocks the RAM spaces, nor the top-most PCIe slot on current ATX-boards.
Visually, the Le Grand Macho RT is top of the line. The heatsink shines in silver nickel plating and features a black anodized top fin, combined with the black and white fan. The Le Grand Macho comes with a TY 147 B PWM fan included. The fan is a slightly upgraded version of the TY 147 A. It uses an FD bearing and is, also thanks to the side vents in the fan frame, even more silent than the TY 147 A. At 14 - 20 dB(a) the fan moves up to 125 m³/h through the cooler. The fan speed ranges from 300 - 1,300 rpm.
For fans of retro coolers the original HR-02 is now available again. The cooler, which has been introduced in 2010 for the first time, was the inspiration for our Macho cooler and is still one of the most powerful coolers of its kind. The cooler comes with the VX-II bolt-through kit included, which can be used to mount the HR-02 on all current Intel- and AMD-CPUs. Our screwdriver and the Chill Factor III thermal compound are included as well.
All coolers are now available in stores. The MSRP of the Le Grand Macho RT is 59.99€, that of the TY 127 is 8.99€ and finally the MSRP for the TY 141SV is set at 15.99€. The HR-02 is available for 54.99€, however the quantity is limited, so we advise you to order soon, before they are gone again.

"can cool up to 280 Watt"
Typical marketing bull****. Throwing around a number like that without specifying what temperatures are associated with it, means absolutely nothing. For all I know, it could be 280W at -50°C ambient and +500°C CPU temperature. The worst thing about it: 99,999% of consumers walk right into the trap, as they don't have a college degree in thermodynamics. Watch out for these sleazy marketing tactics people!

i agree that marketing "angles" in general are quite retarded & unfortunately very widespread these days, but keeping that in mind - thermalright is the last company to call sleazy out of any of em. theyve been around forever & their products are just about the cream of the crop. hell, they spearheaded the integration & development of heatpipes themselves within heatsinks (ages ago). meanwhile theyre still kicking...albeit less hard these days, since thermaltake ripped off their products shamelessly, & then noctua showed up to give them real competition.
if you doubt this thing could dissipate heat generated from any overvolted proc then go ahead & test it...i agree that the 280w figure is absurd to throw around however
i also agree this poor hsf has a stupid name, hahaha. maybe thermalrights marketing dept has suffered cutbacks
