The Witcher 3 Next-Gen version Visualized

Earlier this week, CDPR showed off some of the biggest new features coming to the Next-Gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and you can already find comparison videos online.

User Cycu1 sent us a video showing how the company's trailer ran on an Xbox Series X in performance mode and how the game ran on a PC with high graphics in 4K and a GeForce RTX 3080. The lighting in the game is one of the changes that stands out the most. CDPR also said that they are still making changes to the remake of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and that they should have more information about it right before it comes out on December 14. The free update will improve the graphics and make the game run at 60 frames per second (FPS) on consoles in performance mode. This version will also change the controls and user interface, as well as the way the game is played. For example, the camera will be in a different place.

The new version of The Witcher 3 for PC will have a new level of graphics called Ultra+, which will make the game even better. The game will also work with AMD FSR and NVIDIA DLSS. Ray Tracing effects will be available in quality mode (4K/30FPS) for both the PC version and the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions.

I don't know about you, but during the still images, I often liked the GOTY edition better

Either they foked up with the logos or they made the fire/embers way worse on the next-gen :D

I think they have them backwards really.

A lot of the things lightning looks overblown in the next-gen if anything and I was actually expecting something nicer.

Well I personally think, from that youtube video (and it's compression!), I'll have to take my own look.
But what little I've seen, I'm not impressed... effects and lighting does look a notch better, but I have the impression that it doesn't add much, and on the other hand, foilage and embers look a lot worse than they did before.

I didn't realize that next gen just meant make it darker :D I think along with the people above, the GOTY edition was far better!
