The ThunderBay 8 can do 128TB and 2576 MB/sec on ThunderBolt 3

Meet the ThunderBay 8, a RAID case with 8-bay configuration compatible with Thunderbolt 3. OWC's external RAID case "ThunderBay 8" was announced already, but due to everything goin on got delayed. 



It is an external box holding 8 bays supporting Thunderbolt 3 that can mount up to 8 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch HDD / SSD. "SoftRAID XT" corresponding to RAID 0/1/4/5/10 or "SoftRAID Lite XT" corresponding to RAID 0/1. Drive capacity supports up to 16TB per bay and thus up to 128TB in 8 bays. The maximum transfer speed is 2,586MB / sec when connected to Thunderbolt 3. It also supports up to 6 daisy chains, and when 6 units are connected, you can build up to 768TB of ultra-high capacity storage.

The interface is equipped with Thunderbolt 3 x 2 and DisplayPort 1.2 x 1. The external dimensions are width 260mm, depth 240mm, height 180mm, weight 7.3kg. It has a lock on the front panel and a security slot on the back.
