Utilizing the advanced Btrfs file system, DSM ensures file self-healing, guarding against data corruption, and enables users to create point-in-time snapshots for easy reversal of unintended or malicious changes.

With Synology Drive, DS423 users can conveniently manage, share, sync, and access data from PCs, Macs, and mobile devices, regardless of their location. Organizations with remote employees or geographically dispersed operations can leverage Drive ShareSync to synchronize data across Synology devices in various locations, ensuring team alignment.

For users looking to optimize local bandwidth and storage usage, the power of the cloud comes into play. Synology Hybrid Share allows data to be stored in Synology C2 data centers while frequently accessed files are cached locally on one or multiple Synology NAS systems. Synology Surveillance Station serves as a robust video management system (VMS), trusted by more than 500,000 sites worldwide for camera surveillance. It supports over 8,300 validated IP cameras and ONVIF compatibility, enabling users to select devices based on their specific needs and local regulations.

Setting up and managing up to 30 cameras on the DS423 is simple and efficient, thanks to its modern and configurable interface.
