Sony  unveiled the WF-1000XM5, a cutting-edge completely wireless earphone compatible with Bluetooth. The WF-1000XM5 stands out as a truly wireless earphone boasting the world's best noise canceling performance, achieved through a dual processor configuration that combines the "integrated processor V2" and the "high-quality noise canceling processor QN2e."



Featuring the independently developed "Dynamic Driver X" with an 8.4 mm diameter, the driver incorporates a diaphragm that blends different materials for the dome and edge components, enabling a broad frequency range reproduction from rich low frequencies to extended high frequencies. The earphone also supports the high-quality codec LDAC, which can transmit about three times the information of conventional Bluetooth, allowing for faithful reproduction of high-resolution content.

The WF-1000XM5 comes with several notable features, including an "ergonomic surface design" for a comfortable and stable fit, "head tracking" that adjusts sound direction based on the head's orientation, "head gestures" that enable call acceptance or rejection through head movements, and "find your equalizer" for intuitive sound quality customization.

Equipped with Bluetooth standard 5.3 and supporting profiles like A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HSP, TMAP, CSIP, MCP, VCP, CCP, the earphone employs codecs such as SBC, AAC, LDAC, and LC3. Its maximum communication distance is 10m, and the main body weighs approximately 5.9g (including the earpiece) per earphone. The battery life during music playback is up to 8 hours with noise canceling on and up to 12 hours with noise canceling off.
