Samsung announces Galaxy Note 9 - larger battery and smarter camera
Samsung has presented its new Galaxy Note 9. The smartphone gets a new S Pen, a larger battery and a smart camera. The phone was presented during an event in New York.
The Note 9 is similar in design to the Note 8 of last year, the device with a screen size of 6.4 inches has become a whopping 0.1 inch larger than its predecessor. The phone again has a screen that bends at its edges. The new S Pen is equipped with Bluetooth and a button that allows users to control their phone remotely. This function is intended for example for making selfies and changing slides during presentations. Also the voice assistant Bixby, according to Samsung, improved on the Note 9. When a user asks for nearby restaurants, favorite kitchens are put on top.
At the rear side, the Note 9 has two cameras with 12-megapixel sensors. New is a function with which the camera recognizes twenty different things, such as food or animals. Based on this, the phone can adjust colors. The camera also recognizes errors. For example, the user is warned when someone in the photo is just blinking and when background light reduces the quality of the image. The device has a 4,000 mAh battery. That is 14.3 larger than the 3.500 mAh battery of the Note 8. In addition, the phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 845 processor and can be chosen between 128 GB and 512 GB of storage space. The storage can be expanded with an SD card.
The Note 9 appears in three colors: black, blue and purple. The version with 128 GB of storage offers 6 GB of RAM and costs 999 euros. A more expensive model with a storage capacity of 512 GB offers 8 GB of RAM and costs a staggering 1,249 euros.

Hmm... a 4000mah battery, dual 12mbps "smart" camera, 128gb / 6gb can be found on a Huawei Mate 10 Pro for less than half the price.
I think ~1k EUR is just insane.
