Insomniac Games has updated Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart's PC version to support ray tracing on systems with AMD GPUs. At the game's release in late July, ray tracing was exclusive to Nvidia graphics cards.

With the introduction of version 1.808.0.0, the game now supports ray tracing on both Nvidia and AMD GPUs. For best ray tracing results, Insomniac suggests using a GeForce RTX 3070 for Nvidia setups and a Radeon RX 6800 XT for AMD configurations. Additionally, AMD video card owners should install the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 23.10.23.03 to leverage this capability fully. The latest update not only provides ray tracing for AMD GPUs but also includes several bug resolutions. The enhancements focus on refining specific ray tracing reflections and shadows in the game's graphics. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart initially released for PlayStation 5 in June 2021 and was ported to PC in late June 2023 by the studio Nixxes, which is now under the Sony's PlayStation Studios umbrella.
