Radeon HD 4860 confirmed shipping soon
ATI's new Radeon HD 4860, based on the RV790 core will feature GDDR5 memory, comes with 640 stream processors and is clocked at 700MHz for GPU and 750MHz of memory.
This 'new' graphics card will come with 6 pin auxiliary power supply interface design.
At the heart of it is the RV790 GPU in a different configuration codenamed RV790GT. Compared to the 4850 this one has 640 stream processors instead of 800 on the HD 4850, but it uses a 256-bit GDDR5 memory interface, and effectively higher clock speeds. We now have a semi-confirmation that is will be shippping around the 18th August.
The price of the product should be pretty darn good for what you are getting .. $120,-
