QNAP Adds 2-Bay NAS Server TS-231P

QNAP released a new 2-bay NAS server, the TS-231P. Suitable for data backup/synchronization, remote access and home entertainment, this 2-bay NAS server is configured with a 1.7GHz Alpine AL-212 dual-core processor, a 1GB DDR3 RAM, a 512MB NAND flash memory and two 2.5-/3.5-inch SATA 6.0 Gbps HDD/SSD bays.

Providing excellent multitasking performance, the TS-231P comes equipped with a Kensington security slot, 3x USB 3.0 ports (1x front, 2x rear), 2x GbE RJ45 LAN ports and a built-in 70mm smart cooling fan.

TS-231P is a powerful but easy-to-use network storage center for backup, synchronization, remote access and home entertainment. 

QmailAgent (Unify mail accounts and back up mails), and Qcontactz (Create contact information in a centralized way Many applications with abundant functions including saving and managing are available. 

The dual-core TS-231P is equipped with three USB 3.0 ports and dual LAN ports, providing excellent multitasking 

Measuring H168.5mm x W102mm x D225mm and weighing 1.28kg, the QNAP TS-231P will begin shipping from December 9th for 29,800 Yen (about $266).
