Thanks to the efforts of Fritzchens Fritz, we have recently seen the first high-resolution die images of AMD's Ryzen 5 5600G Cezanne APU, which is based on the company's Ryzen 5 5600 processor.

The photographs depict the interior layout of the chip, which includes the Zen 3 CPU, the Vega GPU, and the other components. For these shots, the chip had to be delidded, which required removing the soldered IHS (heatspreader).

The Locuza annotated picture of the die shows that the Ryzen 5 5600G is a 6 core, 12 thread part with 7 Vega GPU cores, all of which can be found in the Ryzen 5 5600G. The Ryzen 5 5600G is a 6 core, 12 thread part with 7 Vega GPU cores, all of which can be found in the Ryzen 5 5600G. Additionally, the diagram shows what appears to be the locations of numerous PCIe 3.0 and memory controllers, as well as the locations of caches for the CPU and GPU, among other things. There are 10.7 billion transistors on the 180 mm2 die, which is made by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company using a 7 nanometer (nm) technique. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company built the die (TSMC).

I'm surprised at just how small the gpu portion is, in the past the gpu was the largest part of the die.
