Last month, Ukraine's security agency uncovered a building that appeared to be a big cryptocurrency mining farm. However, it was subsequently determined that the site was really mining FIFA 2021's in-game cash, not cryptocurrencies.

In any event, the actions were unlawful due to the usage of tapped energy, which was the source of power. Polish crypto enthusiasts appeared to have dared to go even farther by excavating at a police station, according to reports.

According to the Polish TVN24, who met with Inspector General Jaroslaw Szymczyk, this is the case. The personnel in question were — you guessed it — IT experts. If one of the two employees was fired when his supervisors discovered the situation, the employment contract of the second employee would also be canceled. There is even a reference to the Warsaw police headquarters, where the offender had a fast internet connection in addition to free power. Mining cryptocurrency is not prohibited in Poland (as it is in Ukraine), but it is prohibited when done in the shadows of your job. The digital currency was mined using the graphics card equipment of the police department. A confidential police official believes that the most important concern is whether the police's systems have been compromised as a result of unnecessarily high levels of exposure from mining. These databases will contain very sensitive information regarding covert operatives and convicted criminals, among other things.
