Following the discontinuation of the Ballistix brand, the company has now integrated Micron's 232-layer 3D TLC NAND flash technology with a Phison E26-series controller and an LPDDR4-based DRAM cache.

Crucial wants to reclaims its presence in the premium SSD market by launching the advanced Crucial T700. This combination leverages the PCI-Express 5.0 x4 host interface and NVMe to deliver performance at roughly sequential read and write speeds of 12.4 GB/s and 11.87 GB/s, respectively, for 1 MB, QD8. Please note that sustained write speeds are limited to 25 GB of writes, after which they decline to 3.8 GB/s (your regular PCIe gen 3 and 4 performance.

Despite that, the T700 stands as a robust contender in the high-end SSD market, particularly for users who purely prioritize swift sequential read and write speeds.
