Optoma Releases low latency 4K Projector with 240 Hz Full HD game mode for $ 1799
Optoma launched the 4K DLP projector UHD55 which allows low-latency screen projection. It is a 3600 lumens projector with a resolution of up to 3840 x 2160 pixels whilst offering low latency and being the smallest class for a 4K compatible model.
It contains a game mode that supports gaming as well as video projection at 240Hz (at 1,080p) with an input latency of 16ms. The maximum brightness is 3,600 lumens, with a contrast ratio of 1,200,000 to 1. It not only meets the studio standard Rec.709 for HDTV, but it also has a broad color spectrum display with a DCI-P3 color reproduction of 97 percent. HDR10 content is also supported.
It also has "Pure Motion," which removes motion blur and draws moving images cleanly, a geometric distortion correction function, which allows square projection even on uneven surfaces, and a vertical lens shift function. It runs an Android operating system and can access streaming services like YouTube, Netflix, and Spotify on its own.Inputs are HDMI 2.0 x 2, D-Sub x 1, 3.5mm audio mini plug x 1, S / PDIF x 1, USB Type-A x 1 (5V / 1.5A)... Other interfaces include RJ45 x 1, RS232 x 1, and so forth. The exterior measurements are roughly 315 mm in width, 270 mm in depth, 118 mm in height, and 5.1 kg in weight. The market value is estimated to be $1,799.

Because this projector is equipped with HDMI 2.0, and not HDMI 2.1, it is not able to handle 4K refresh rates beyond 60 Hz. However, it is able to provide up to 240 Hz refresh with 1080p content, and it advertises a very gamer-friendly input lag of only 4ms for 1080p at 240 Hz, and 19ms at 60Hz and 4K.
I would be worried about power consumption @3600 lumens if also using as a large TV, with the huge bump in recent electricity prices and worse coming.
It can only provide 95% DCI/P3 coverage at reduced brightness levels.
Its not really 4K at 60Hz due to the pixel shift.
Though lamp life isnt bad at 4 to 10,000 hrs, it depends on the replacement cost.
It does 3D, that might make it worthwhile, if only gaming support hadnt quit the technology.

TronicsFix recently repaired a bunch of Optoma projectors. The flaws were quite strange, like loose internal connectors and screws. I don't know how good and respected, generally speaking, Optoma is, but that was a pretty weird repair video.
