OCZ Storage solutions is developing two new SSDs for consumers, the Vector 180 which will get a new Barefoot 3 M00 SSD controller. The SSD will have 19nm MLC NAND flash memory from Toshiba. This unit will be available in 120GB, 240GB, 480GB and 980GB capacities. One of the new features will be the integration of extra capacitors to prevent data loss when power is interrupted.

The Vector 180 series will ship towards the end of July and is expected to be about 10 percent more expensive than the Vector 150 line. Later this year, roughly in the September timeframe we can expect OCZ's first TLC-based SSD. This disk will focus primarily on low pricing, the product's name is TBA.
