AMD is preparing a new ZEN3 based generation of Threadripper processors, software support is added slowly but surely.

The Beta version of the system information software HWinfo mentions providing better detection for Threadripper Pro and next-generation Threadripper, according to a changelog. AMD's current Zen 3 architecture has been used in the Ryzen 5000 processors since last November, but the actually more powerful Threadripper processors are still at "Ryzen 3000" based on the older Zen 2 architecture. But thus far there has been hardly any sign of life from the Ryzen Threadripper 5000.

The next generation of Threadripper should appear as the Ryzen Threadripper 5000, presumably, AMD will skip the 4000 series here, similar to the Zen 3 desktop processors. The codename of this series is "Chagall" and not "Genesis".
