MSI & UbiSoft team up for synchronized RGB Game Lighting

MSI joins forces with the international publisher of interactive entertainment and services Ubisoft to draw gamers deeper into the best-selling video game Assassin's Creed Odyssey with next-gen synchronized Ambient Link lighting.

The Ambient Link perfectly synchronizes modular light panels and all Mystic Light loaded MSI GAMING products with on-screen gaming to create realistic ambient lighting that simulates in-game color schemes and extends the game world into gamers' rooms.

MSI has delved deeply into the realms of Virtual Reality PCs and game immersion as gamers' demands for immersive gaming experiences keep soaring in recent years. A global leader in PC gaming hardware, MSI has been hoping to evolve "Playing Game" into new, immersive "Play in Game" experiences. With shared passion for gaming innovation, MSI and Ubisoft have joined hands and successfully delivered an unprecedented level of game immersion in Assassin's Creed Odyssey through Ambient Link.

Built upon MSI's exclusive Mystic Light Sync, the Ambient Link features cutting-edge functions, a deeper connection to the game storylines and dozens of lighting presets for events in which the main character receives new skills and rewards, or encounters any changes in circumstances, etc. One of the key elements of Ambient Link, MSI's exclusive per-key RGB lighting keyboards provide real-time in-game details and highly useful hotkeys. Modular light panels, such as Nanoleaf Aurora, lead gamers on a sensory adventure with various scenes that mimic clear skies, rainforests, nature scenes, campfires, meteor showers and more. The responsive, synchronized Ambient Link absolutely extends the game world into gamers' rooms, bringing players of Assassin's Creed Odyssey a higher degree of game immersion as they embark on an arduous but fruitful journey.

Furthermore, deep down every gamer wants to assert their uniqueness and stand out in the gaming world. Gaming is not all about winning. It is also a stage where gamers let their unique selves shine. MSI Ambient Link has been designed for that purpose – to help gamers express their individuality. Although the Ambient Link now seems to be a small step toward immersive and intuitive gaming experiences, it will be in the long run a major step toward ultimate, superb gaming experiences, as is the case with the ultimate cinematic feast Image Maximum (IMAX) has brought to the film industry.

"It has been a pleasure working with Ubisoft to provide gamers with game lighting jointly designed by the game developers themselves. Assassin's Creed Odyssey is an incredibly fascinating game. MSI Ambient Link takes Assassin's Creed Odyssey to the next level and immerses gamers deeper into the game by translating in-game effects into real-time ambient lighting," says Sam Chern, MSI Assistant Vice President of Global Marketing.

Well, I can imagine putting my PC screen right in front of center of wall like they have.
And then use super cheap, low resolution projector to show actual data from rendering.

GPU would render screen viewport at required screen resolution and then it would render those extended areas at much lower resolutions. (Matching that projector.)
Projector leaving area of screen black to prevent undesirable illumination of screen surface.

What MSI? What Ubisoft? I can't hear you loud enough. What did you say? Ah right, very quietly that you can't match it.

Lovely, Someone games on 1440p and then rest of the wall is rendered at 720p. Only VR could beat that experience.
