MSI offers DisplayHDR 1000 compatible 16-inch WQXGA Mini LED laptop
Equipped with a DCI-P3-compliant "Golden Ratio display" MSI launched the 16-inch laptop PC "Prestige-16-A12UD-098" for business and creators. It will be available only on the MSI official web shop beginning September 22nd.
The liquid crystal display employs a "Golden Ratio display," which provides WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600 dots) resolution and a DCI-P3 color gamut. Additionally, by inserting a Mini LED, it is DisplayHDR 1000 compatible, allowing for high-contrast and deep visual expression. Furthermore, since the CPU is a Core i7-1280P and the graphics is a GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU, it can be utilized for business and creative activities such as video / picture editing and 3D CAD / 3D animation creation. LPDDR5 32GB memory, 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD storage, IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax wireless LAN, and Bluetooth 5.2 are the major specs. MicroSD card reader, Thunderbolt 4 x 2, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A x 2, HDMI x 1, headphone output / microphone input combination jack x 1, and so on are among the interfaces.
The battery has a capacity of 65 Whr / 4 cells / 4,160 mAh lithium ion, a continuous running period of up to 10 hours and 30 minutes (JEITA 2.0), exterior dimensions of 358 mm wide, 258.55 mm depth, 16.85 mm thickness, and a weight of 2.1 kg. The operating system includes Windows 11 Pro. It's priced 2089 USD.

me too but this is very underwhelming. the bulk of the cost is the screen and that makes it ridiculously overpriced.
however, a ruggedized version of the same thing would be highly useful in many fields of work.
OLEDs are still less expensive, allowing higher performance graphics to take advantage of the screen. but for outdoor use there will always be a market for HDR 1000 screens of any type.
Glad to see Mini LED is coming to computers finally. Now we just need more saturation so monitors and laptop displays with good backlighting becomes the norm!
