Minisforum has just announced their EliteMini HX90 , a powerful new small PC for pre-order, with an early bird discount of US$100. It is based on a Ryzen 9 5900HX processor.

The new Minisforum EliteMini HX90 is noteworthy for compressing a significant amount of computing power into a small chassis (60 x 195 x 190mm), with this model carrying an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU (a 45W laptop chip) into its 2.223 litre capacity.

The setup is priced at US$649 for the barebones configuration, up to $909 for the top-spec variant with 32GB RAM and a 512GB SSD pre-installed. The manufacturer verified that "HX90 comes pre-installed with Windows 10". I've highlighted the most critical specifications below. Minisforum is particularly pleased of the EliteMini HX90's capacity to connect and manage quad-4k monitors at 60Hz, its combination of injection moulded and carbon fiber construction, its upgradeability, its plenty of ports, and a fair range of accessories included in the box. 1080p gaming performance on a 32GB (16GB x 2) machine with no shared game settings

While the system will be capable of some gaming thanks to the inbuilt Vega 8 graphics, the lack of a Thunderbolt 3 connector means that you will be unable to connect one of the several eGPU options.

Minisforum EliteMini HX90 systems are anticipated to begin shipping in "mid-September." You may purchase it with a US, EU, UK, or AU-type power adaptor included.
