Microsoft has adjusted the list of processors compatible with Windows 11. A noticeable revision was the removal of several Intel CPUs.
Neowin reported that this change was seen when Microsoft updated the system requirements for Android app functionality within the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA). While the main system prerequisites for Windows 11 have remained consistent since the 21H2 announcement, distinctions exist between the compatibility lists for the 21H2 and 22H2 versions. It's important to note that the recent updates did not add any currently unsupported devices, potentially dashing hopes of those anticipating expanded compatibility in the near future.
The modified list, disseminated on July 25, excluded specific Intel processors that had previously been endorsed. In a preceding adjustment in May, Microsoft had integrated several new Intel CPUs, notably spotlighting the Raptor Lake (13th Gen) series. The recent exclusions mainly pertain to Intel's Xeon series from their server offerings. Concurrently, the current list has incorporated select new Ryzen models, one of which hasn't been publicly acknowledged by AMD yet.
