MEG Z390 GODLIKE Reaches 7.47 GHz CPU Freq on LN2
MSI recently launched Intel 9th Gen processors. MEG Z390 GODLIKE is built to deliver unreal performance, including impressive overclocking scores. Extreme overclocking is made possible with an aggressive MSI Core Boost VRM design built with 18 digital power phases and dual power connectors.
In 2017, professional overclocker ‘Toppc’ reached to an unbelievable CPU frequency of 7.4 GHz with the Z370 GODLIKE GAMING and LN2. This year, MSI adopted Intel latest per core overclock to find the strongest core, which allows MEG Z390 GODLIKE to show domination on performance, pushing Intel Core i9 9900K CPU frequency at 7.47 GHz with LN2. MEG Z390 GODLIKE brings together the most asked for PC enthusiast features onto a single flagship motherboard. Built for hardcore gaming, extreme overclocking, and demanding content creation, this otherworldly motherboard is up for any consumer computing task.
Overclockers will appreciate the range of features catered for them. Dynamic Dashboard integrates an OLED display that can be configured to readout various hardware monitors. Surface mounted power and reset, rear clear CMOS and BIOS Flashback, and support for thermal probes complete the range of control over extreme overclocking sessions.
For hardcore gamers and entertainment enthusiasts, an array of cutting edge motherboard technology elevates immersion like never before. Flexible network solutions from Killer Gaming allow users to tap into both Ethernet LAN and Wi-Fi for reliable internet connections. Killer xTend, exclusive to MSI products, can take networks farther and extend LAN and Wi-Fi connections from the motherboard. Xtreme Audio DAC brings a selection of premium audio hardware including dual dedicated Hi-Fi audio processors, an ESS AUDIO DAC with dedicated ESS Amplifier, WIMA audio capacitors, and a 6.3mm headphone out jack for rich audio experiences.
MSI has made building a complete PC system with MEG Z390 GODLIKE more satisfying than before. A pre-installed rear I/O panel eases installation while grounding the IO ports from the external environment. Mystic Light Infinity introduces customizable and colorful RGB lighting with an infinity mirror for deceptively endless illumination.
A bountiful accessory bundle with MEG Z390 GODLIKE expands the range of possibility even more. The M.2 XPANDER-Z card raises the total support of high-speed M.2 SSDs to five. With MSI Streaming Boost, streamers and video content creators can capture HD output right out of the box.

Pretty sure DerB8uer and co used an ASUS board to get a better overclocking than this one.
and has per Buildzoid, he would not recommend this board for extreme overcloking. (Not sure he would even recommend it for anything

had nothing but problems when i had gigabyte boards in the past, tend to stick with asus now even though their support is dire, at least their hardware is stable.
Im not overly fussed for how it OC's on LN2, id prefer real world.

So... How many watts under load? Or does it freeze under load?

From what I've heard from TTL (OC3D) is that a lot of Gigabyte motherboards suffer from overheating VRMs, but he seemed to like the MEG (Ace) in particular.

Beware that this is just marketing. This $600 mainboard is nothing special. It's not even actually built for LN2. There are far cheaper options. It's a good board, but not $600 kind of good.
