LG intros EX-series slim LED-backlit monitors

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 02/03/2010 11:56 AM | source: | 0 comment(s)

LG introduced several new ultra-slim LCD monitors in its EX-series. Each display features a 17.5mm thick bezel and LED backlighting, with a response time listed at 5ms. The LED technology is claimed to reduce power consumption by approximately 40 percent, while bringing the dynamic contrast ratio up to 1,500,000:1.

Models include the 20-inch EX205, 21.5-inch EX225, and 23-inch EX235. The monitors will initially launch in Korean markets. It is unclear if the company plans to bring the series to the North American market, though most LG displays reach the continent.
