According to leaker Enthusiastic Citizen, Intel has set a launch date for their upcoming desktop CPU series. Intel Raptor Lake processors would be available on October 17, around three weeks after the Innovation event. Intel will unveil its 13th Generation Core K-series CPUs and Z790 high-end motherboards on this day.

Intel is likely to adjust the PCIe lane allocation for the Z790 chipset compared to the Z690, and according to the information given, the Z790 will feature 20 PCIe 4.0 and eight PCIe 3.0 lanes, compared to 12 PCIe 4.0 and 16 PCIe 3.0 for the Z690 chipset. Raptor Lake is also rumored to have native support for faster DDR5 5600 memory, as opposed to Alder Lake's 4800 MHz DDR5. There seem to be no modifications to the CPU PCIe lanes, and DDR4 capability remains, however, the DDR4 memory controller remains unchanged.

The Intel Z790+Intel RPL K series will be released at the Intel Innovation 2022 performance ban on 9/28, and the official release time will be the week of 10/17. H760/B760+non-K will be lifted at CES 2023 on 1/5/2023, and the official release time will be in the second half of January. It is confirmed that there will be no H710, and the H610 PCH will continue to be used. At present, all Intel 600 series motherboards are compatible with RPL CPU, and RPL is also compatible with DDR4 and DDR5 at the same time. The first CPU models of Intel Innovation 2022 are i9-13900K/KF 8P+16E, i7-13700K/KF 8P+8E, i5-13600K/KF 6P+8E. The Z790 chipset has a total of 20x PCIe 4+8x PCIe 3, and the CPU is still 16x PCIe 5+4x PCIe 4. The big change is that DDR5 has been upgraded from the original JEDEC 4800 to JEDEC 5600.
