Its a lot to take, but the LED panel based CyberBoard keyboard looks Impressive

In the category unique yet a little busy on the eyes, check out the Cyber board, a crowdfunded keyboard at Indogogo that is bound to lit up that gaming room of yours. And yes, Cyberboard, hints towards the Tesla Cywertruck.

Currently, a 30-day project has started at an early discount price of 40% off. There are 5 color variations: Cyber Gray/Industrial Yellow/Purple Haze/Vapor White/Jungle Green. The edgy frame shape is inspired by Tesla's fully automatic truck "Cyber truck", which has been talked about for its original design. Equipped with 200 LED panels that can be customized on the top surface, you can optionally set the emission color, pattern, character string, etc. This "CYBERBOARD" is the first mechanical keyboard equipped with such an LED panel.

The keyboard layout is a numeric keypad-less English layout that claims a so-called 75% layout. It is composed of a triple substrate that combines a silicon plate layer that absorbs vibrations during input, and also supports hot swapping of key switches.

The frame is CNC-processed 6063 aluminum alloy and uses a high profile keycap. The connection interface is Bluetooth 5.0. The external dimensions are width 340.5 mm, depth 181 mm, height 42.2 mm, and weight 2.4 kg. Indiegogo accepts support from HK$3,178 (around 43,000 yen) and that is 345 EUR.

What's the point in this? It seems like the LEDs can not be seen well as they are facing away from the user. Further, they are aimed toward the monitor, and so could cause distracting reflections.

If they were aimed toward the user then it'd even be possible to use for information. Flashing for alerts like new emials, or glowing colours for temperatures, etc.

I don't know if it's the good time to sell something with RGB led, as it is as "futuristic" as a betamax video recorder.
The keyboard in itself seem to be good... we have to check if it is "steel ball proof"as the tesla supertruck :)

The white cream colored Keyboard reminds me of my old Amiga A1200

I'm thinking probably not many.
