Intel Z270 motherboard photos from ASRock, Gigabyte and MSI leaked

After a leak from ASUS two weeks ago somebody somewhere decided to open up the floodgates and now spread photos of upcoming Z270 motherboards. These motherboards are intended for Kaby Lake and include photos of ASRock, Gigabyte and MSI.

ASRock

For ASRock photos of the ASRock Z270 Extreme4 and Z270 Gaming K6 surfaced. Both having RGB LED lighting (much like ASUS they call it AURA), M2 slots and a rather nice design, I do like the white version with X in there. PCIe slots have been reinforced with steel bars. The K6 shows multiple M2 slots and a switch from Killer LAN towards two Intel controllers, interesting.

Gigabyte

For Gigabyte photographs of the Gaming 9, Gaming 8, Gaming K5, Ultra Gaming, Gaming K3 Z270-HD3P, Z270XP-SLI and Z270M-D3H have surfaced. All in different styles with the same aforementioned features like other brands have like RGB lighting. The flagship Aorus Z270X Gaming 9 shows a U.2 two port, two M.2 slots and four PCIe 3.0 x16 slots with support for SLI and CrossFire. We also spor a Killer E2500 Ethernet controller.

MSI

For MSI the secret on the 200 series motherboards has passed, there are photos of the Z270 Gaming M7, Z270 Gaming M5 Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon, Z270I Gaming Pro Carbon AC Z270 Krait Gaming, Z270 Tomahawk Arsenal, Z270 SLI Plus, Z270 SLI, Z270 PC Mate, H270 PC Mate, H270M Bazooka, B250 PC Mate, B250M Bazooka, B250M and B250M VDH Pro-Pro VH lying. The Z270 Gaming M7 is the most high-end model has a black design with metal-reinforced expansion slots and a 12-phase power supply. MSI has provided sufficient RGB lighting. Other notable features are the U.2 port and tilted USB 3.0 header. We also see the M.2 Shield that was recently teased.

We can't discuss all models but there are however a number of notable models. Z270I Gaming Pro Carbon AC Mini-ITX version of the board with carbon styling for example, it has limited RGB lighting and 802.11ac Wi-Fi on board. The Krait Gaming just looks amazing with a nice agressive black-and-white theme and the Z270 SLI Plus and a cheaper completely black Z270 SLI motherboard. Check out the photos courtesy of Videocardz and Wccftech.

MSI Gaming M7 is beautiful. Also, are those THREE (3) M2 slots?!

The Gigabyte AORUS Gaming-9 looks pretty but I'm a bit wary about that many uncovered LED lights. Whilst they look cool and all, if one blows out, it will be sorely noticeable.

I'd buy that MSI M7 (M9 will probably come out sooner or later) but I already have a 5960x on an Asus Rampage V Edition 10 board (and I also have an original MSI Godlike Gaming, a Godlike Gaming Carbon, and an MSI Xpower X99). I really should stop collecting X99 boards... except every time I buy one, something else comes out which looks awesome, lol.

It'd be real nice for motherboard manufactures to start adding right angled psu connectors
