Intel Core i7 930 in February 2010

A roadmap from Intel reveals a new processor labeled as Core i7 930 which apparantly is due for a release on February 28th, 2010. The processor will boast four processing cores and eight threads. The processor is clocked at 2.80 GHz and will work on socket LGA 1366 motherboards. The total L3 cache memory of the unit is of 8MB and the chip will boast an integrated triple channel DDR3 memory controller.

The price tag will be $284. The total thermal design power of the Core i7 930 CPU is of 130W.

Another new CPU in Intel's pipeline is the 45nm Core 2 Q9500, this may be one of the last LGA775 processors. This $183 chip will be released on January 17th, 2010, it features a 2.83GHz frequency and 6MB cache.
