Intel Core i7 4770K Haswell Processors in Dutch WebShops
Yesterday performance figures of the upcoming Intel Core i7 4770K Haswell Processor leaked onto the web, today the processors has revealed itself in a couple of in Dutch WebShops. Now please understand that these processors are bound to launch in June. Both MaxICT and TakeItNow here in the Netherlands listed the product (without stock). The Core i7 4770K is listed for prices inbetween €330 and €350 at these shops. Do bare in mind that at launch time you will probably see slightly lower prices.
The flagship chip out of the processors released will be the Intel Core i7-4770K, bringing a 3.50 GHz base clock speed across four cores and eight threads, with a 3.9 GHz boost speed and an 8 MB cache. The on-die graphics gets updated to Intel's HD 4600 offering with a 1250 MHz dynamic max frequency, but perhaps more interesting is the TDP boost to 84W (from 77W in Ivy Bridge chips) across the "standard power" range.
The Core i7 4770K Haswell Processors will be a socket 1150 based product and the webshops also confirm a 3.5 GHz base clock frequency.
Props go out to the colleagues at HWI for noticing this.

TDP increase? What's the explanation for this? Does that TDP include the GPU, then I could understand it.

I would say that is likely the case but, whatever, it's only 7 W anyway.

As I explained in the other thread they moved the VRMs off the motherboard and onto the processor. So instead of having like 75w CPU and 25w on the motherboard you'll have 84w on the CPU and 5w on the motherboard (note these are estimations for example only). So total system power consumption goes down. The other advantage is that the CPU can now switch power states much, much faster. As a result the processor can race to sleep much quicker. The unfortunate part is that this change will increase temps on the CPU. It should be offset a bit by the improved TIM/IHS method they are claiming to be using but who knows. Overall for computing and certain applications it's a huge benefit, for gamers it's probably a negative as it effects thermals.
