Intel and ASUS Enter Agreement for Intel NUC Systems

Intel and ASUS have reached a significant agreement for the manufacturing, sales, and support of Intel's Next Unit of Compute (NUC) systems product line.



This collaboration encompasses the 10th to 13th generations of NUC systems and sets the stage for future NUC system designs. The aim is to ensure a seamless transition for customers and partners as Intel shifts its strategy to empower ecosystem partners to drive innovation and growth in the NUC systems market.

Sam Gao, Intel's Vice President and General Manager of Intel Client Platform Solutions, expressed confidence in ASUS's ability to continue delivering exceptional products and supporting NUC systems customers. Intel recognizes the value of ASUS's expertise and successful track record in offering industry-leading mini PCs to the market. This partnership will enable ASUS to carry forward the NUC systems product line, fostering innovation and growth.

Joe Hsieh, ASUS's Chief Operating Officer, expressed gratitude to Intel for entrusting them with the responsibility of advancing the NUC systems product line. He emphasized their commitment to enhancing and accelerating the vision for the mini PC, expanding into areas such as AI and AIoT. ASUS aims to deliver excellent support and service that NUC systems customers have come to expect.

As part of the agreement, ASUS will receive a non-exclusive license to Intel's NUC systems product line designs. This license grants ASUS the ability to manufacture, sell, and develop NUC systems products spanning the 10th to 13th generations. The agreement ensures continuity for Intel NUC systems customers, providing ongoing product availability and support. ASUS will establish a dedicated business unit known as ASUS NUC BU to drive these efforts forward.
