That fan design doesnt make sense.

1st, why is 10% or so of the fans covered with the plastic/metal strip???

2nd, why oh why did they mount that little fan on top. That design failed long ago and makes for a loud gpu......

I run my 980tis at about 1420mhz. Do you reckon a single 1080ti at maximum overclock if I buy a high end model like kingpin could match the performance on perfect scaling games?

1. Fans: This is for side air intake when in SLI (2x or 3x)
2. Little Fan: This is to cool the VRMS etc via heatpipe.

Look up the GTX 1070 X4 and read what it states on their site, you get the idea behind the design and the fans.

I have the X4 and it is amazing.
