Hexa-core Intel Gulftown shows on eBay

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 12/03/2009 11:43 AM | source: | 0 comment(s)

Intels upcoming hexa-core processor Gulftown (expected to launch as Core i9 will) is slated for next year. The problem is that the new CPU is spreading fast already and that engineering samples (ES) that should not be sold are not only sold on eBay but even enthusiast forums around the world.

The new processor is made with Intels fresh 32 nanometer technology and can be found on eBay but just also in Denmark, the processor was sold on forums for around $850. The thread at OCTeamDenmark has been removed but is available through Google cache.
