Gigabyte announced on May 20, 2019, a C621-WD12-IPMI motherboard for IPMI-compatible workstations that can house dual-install Xeon scalable processors.

The Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) is based on a Intel C621, the socket is LGA3647 x2, and the CPUs can be a twofold of Xeon scalable processors up to TDP 205W. Based on the C621-WD12 announced in February this year , the memory slot can be expanded with DDR4 2933 x 12 (ECC RDIMM / RDIMM 3DS / LRDIMM / DRDIMM 3DS), and up to 1.5TB of large capacity memory. The expansion slots showPCI-Express 3.0 (x16) x 7, lane division is x16 / x16 / x16 / x16 4-Way or x16 / x8 / x16 / x8 / x8 / x16 / x8 / x16 7-Way Supports and supports 4-way NVIDIA SLI / AMD CrossFire X and NVIDIA Quadro series.

  • Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors, Dual LGA 3647 Socket P (Square)
  • 6-Channel DDR4 RDIMM/LRDIMM 12 x DIMMs, up to 1.5TB
  • Dual Intel Server GbE LAN
  • 7 PCIe x16 slots design: Supports total bandwidth of 88 PCIe lanes and four dual-slot graphics cards. It also supports 4-way NVIDIA SLI or AMD CrossFireX GPU configurations
  • Aspeed® AST2500 BMC
  • Large storage capacity: 10 SATA3 Ports
  • Next-gen transfer speeds: PCIe x4 M.2, Dual U.2, USB3.1 Type-A, USB3.1 Type-C
  • Realtek ALC 1220 120dB SNR HD Audio

Storage includes M.2 x 1, SATA 3.0 (6 Gbps) x 10, U. And then 2 x Gigabit LAN by Intel I210AT. The audio chip is Realtek "ALC1220-VB", which uses Nichicon and WIMA audio grade capacitors.
