It seems NVIDIA is still brewing older GPUs in their kitchen. Gigabyte has registered a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti video card with 16GB of RAM. 

Gigabyte's registrations indicate a total of five distinct video cards, including the unofficially released RTX 3070 Ti with 16GB of RAM. The RTX 3070 Ti currently features 8GB of GDDR6X memory. Further details about the rumored 16GB model are unknown. The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti currently features a GA104 GPU with 6144 CUDA cores. It's unclear if this also applies to the 16GB model.

It's not the first time we've heard about a 16GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. In January of this year, we revealed that Gigabyte and Asus were planning to release this card. Of course, it never appeared, but subsequent reports of an RTX 3080 with 12GB proved accurate. We must also consider the newly revealed Gigabyte GV-N307TGAMING OC ST-16GD in the context of the Nvidia RTX 30 series quandary. It appears like Nvidia and partners will be attempting to sell off outdated Ampere GPUs in the next weeks/months, and giving a larger selection of memory configurations throughout the series appears to be a preferred option. Another Twitter leaker claimed a week ago that a GeForce RTX 3060 8GB, an RTX 3060 Ti with GDDR6X, and an RTX 3070 Ti based on the GA102 GPU were all on their way to market.
