The majority of Gigabyte's Z690 series is made up of Aorus motherboards, which are designed specifically for gamers. Both the Z690 Aorus Xtreme and Aorus Master, which are among the best-selling ones, support DDR5, Thunderbolt 4, and Wi-Fi 6E, as well as 10Gbit/s Ethernet through an Aquantia network card and 2.5Gbit/s Ethernet with an Intel network card. The same motherboards have a PCIe 4.0 interface and can support up to four M.2 SSDs. The VRM on the Xtreme is a more complex arrangement.

The Gigabyte Aorus Z690 Xtreme, Master, and Elite DDR4 memory modules are available in three configurations. The firm also displays a Z690 Aorus Ultra, Aorus Pro, and Aorus Pro DDR4 in addition to the standard models. It has four M.2 slots, 2.5Gbit/s Ethernet, and USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 ports on each of its four motherboards. There will also be four Aorus Elite motherboards with differing degrees of DDR4 or DDR5 support and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, as well as a Z690I Aorus Ultra DDR4 motherboard with a mini-ITX form factor, according to the company.

Another motherboard with DDR4 memory is mentioned, as well as many Ultra Durable boards with DDR4 or DDR5 memory slots and optional Wi-Fi support from Gigabyte. All Gigabyte motherboards are equipped with 'Q-Flash Plus,' which enables the BIOS to be updated without the need to replace the CPU, RAM, or video card on the motherboard.

Finally, Gigabyte launches the Z690 Aero series, which is aimed squarely at makers. Along with DDR5, 10Gbit/s Ethernet as well as 2.5Gbit/s Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E, and two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, the Z690 Aero D also includes four M.2 slots with a PCIe 4.0 interface. This motherboard will be white in color, with a relatively large heatsink on the bottom. In addition, the company will release two Aero G variants, with DDR5 and DDR4 memory, respectively. Those Aero G configurations may accommodate four M.2-PCIe 4.0 SSDs as well as Wi-Fi 6.
