Gigabyte adds GA-E6010N Mini-ITX motherboard fitted with AMDs E1-6010 APU
Gigabyte announced their GA-E6010N Mini-ITX motherboard fitted with AMDs E1-6010 APU. This Mini-ITX motherboard is equipped with AMD's power-saving APU E1-6010, an APU that holds 2 cores at 1.35GHz /with just a TDP of 10Watts.
These units also embed a Radeon R2 Graphics IGP. There are two output interfaces, HDMI and D-Sub, and HDMI supports 4K high-resolution display. The main specifications are DDR3 x 2 (maximum 32GB) memory slot, SATA3.0 (6Gbps) x2 storage, and PCI x1 expansion slot. It also has features such as capacitors, moisture resistant "Humidity Protection Glass Fabric PCB", interface protection from electrostatic discharge "High ESD Ethernet & USB Port Protection", and dual UEFI BIOS "DualBIOS UEFI".
The network is equipped with Realtek Gigabit LAN, and the audio is equipped with realtek ALC887 7.1ch HD audio. Rear interface is USB3.1 Gen.1 × 2, USB2.0x4, D-Subx1, HDMIx1, Gigabit LANx1, PS / 2 × 1, Audio Jack x3, Serial Port x1, Parallel Port x1.

The main problem with the AMDs E1-6010 is that.... it's terrible. Just terrible, it should be killed with fire never to be seen again.

The problem with this APU and ITX is that intel Atom offer more for less money on this motherboard formfactor...

It depend on what you need: LPT, serial DB9, PCI slot (not express)... I's not for main consumer

This could prove useful for the industrial sector, provided they aren't in a hurry to do anything that is. They're just moving to PCI from ISA over the last 10~15 years (very slowly at that rate!).
Otherwise, this is a good board for a PC you build for your in-laws. Not the nice ones, the mean type of in-laws.
I believe an early to mid 80's Chrysler (Dodge?) Lebaron (K car chassis) with the speech module option had a more powerful computer.

I expect it to be cheap, because that is pretty old hardware, the low power laptop APU isn't that great but at least the io can be good for a register machine or where you have old bar code readers and stuff.
