Folding@Home: Client Update Now Includes Option to Prioritise COVID-19 Projects
Folding@home created an update to the Folding@home software that allows you to prioritize COVID-19 projects. Top priority for this release was to add the COVID-19 option as quickly as possible, which can now be downloaded.
A quick update. The Folding@Home team has not been sitting still, the project is nearly exploding and in March reached 470 petaflops in computing power. Previously Folding@home had 30K volunteers, who together accounted for roughly 100 petaflops of computing power on average. So that means the project is now surpassing the most powerful supercomputers in the world in terms of compute performance.
In total, there are more than 660 thousand GPUs and more than 1.5 million CPUs, totaling more than 11 million CPU cores. This allows us to achieve the 2.4 Exaflops that we mentioned, adding a totally extreme power to look for solutions against COVID-19 and several other diseases.
We encourage you to upgrade as the new software includes important bug fixes and security updates. Downloads are available here. Please also join me in thanking the Center for the Science and Engineering of Living Systems (CSELS) at Washington University in St. Louis for funding the development of this software update. Downloads are available here.
If you join in, it might take a while before a workload is assigned to you, just be patient. One note COVID-19 projects prefer fast GPUs. You can easily join up by downloading the client, which is easy to download and install. You do not need to utilize your PC or components 100%, but can choose light, medium and full settings, also in idle or always at work. If you like to donate GPU/CPU cycles, download the client, insert your nickname and if you want to Guru3D Team number: 69411 (or join any other team you prefer of course). You can also join anonymously.

Only 178 RTX2080Ti ? That's really dissapointing, I see everywhere comments like "umagash I have my ayymd vii and thredriper to folder@home non stop plus my bicicle to work for kuwait-19"
xd is this a new trend to flex and lie that you're giving your resources?

no, that's philanthropy for poor people. Rich people fund $millions into scientists that know what they are doing.

Hope it helps, but don't forget that 30 years latter, we still don't have a vaccine for VIH.
