Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood Gameplay

Square Enix hosted a test for tomorrow’s Letter from the Final Fantasy XIV Producer Live that will be broadcasted from Hamburg, Germany. During the brief broadcast, Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida and Community Manager Toshio Murouchi introduced a brief glimpse on the upcoming expansion, titled Stormblood. Final Fantasy XIV‘s new expansion Stormblood will release on June 20th exclusively for PC and PS4, with the PS3 version of the game getting discontinued.

Is this game worth it? I'm not a huge fan of paying a membership to play a game...

Is a pretty solid MMO with a really strong story and excellent crafting. Low level combat is a bit slow due to the long GCD but this gets better at higher levels when a lot of attacks are moved off the GCD.

You should give it a go, you can get a free trial. If you like it the subscription fee is not bad compared to how much you can end up spending on "free to play" games.

Playing it for some time now (currently for 240+ hrs), main story (started Heavensward two days ago) is really great
(except for voiceovers, they should definitely hire better voice actors).
Crafting is fine, it runs good, recommended to try :-) especially with trial option (unlimited time, but maximum level is 35).
