DRAM and SSD prices dive downwards due to low demand

Digitimes report that major names like Samsung currently have high volumes of DRAM and NAND memory inventory. This is due to the low demand that is currently in the market.

Memory chip prices including NAND and DRAM, are expected to fall a further 10% in the fourth quarter, with the downward trend continuing into the first half of 2021. The reason for the decline in Pricing is due to supply and demand. There is too much memory on the market and manufacturers do not buy it. Both Western Digital and Micron are the only two companies that slowed down their purchases.

With NVIDIA has just released RTX 30 series graphics cards, Zen 3 Ryzen processors, and Big Navi graphics cards launching all soon at least it's good to know that you'll safe a few bucks on your new upgrades :)

That sounds good. I need a couple more drives and some more DDR4.

I would imagine sales of everything are down due to the mega job losses and business closures happening right now.

Now if only manufacturers bothered to make more PCIe 4.0 SSDs to create competition and choices.
