D-Link DIR-880L AC1900 highest end wireless Router

D-Link today expanded its line of award-winning wireless routers with the new AC1900 Wi-Fi Router (DIR-880L), the company's highest end wireless router to-date. Delivering extremely fast 11AC Wi-Fi speeds, this top-of-the-line router creates a maximum performance wireless network that can handle high-bandwidth activities, like HD streaming and lag-free gaming, even in the farthest corners of the house.

To eliminate Wi-Fi interference for faster and more reliable Internet, the AC1900 Wi-Fi Router also features dual-band technology, enabling users to perform simple Internet activities on the 2.4GHz band, and more demanding activities on the cleaner, interference-free 5GHz band. The router also features a brand new user tested interface built for mobile devices that offers the simplest router interface available on the market.

"The AC1900 Router was designed to surpass expectations of what a wireless network can offer, specifically when it comes to the data-intensive demands of gamers and media streamers," said Ken Loyd, director of consumer product marketing, D-Link Systems, Inc. "Simply put, its host of advanced features along with the raw power of AC speed and range make it the clear choice for anyone looking for a next-level connected, but also simple, experience."

Utilizing an advanced QoS engine for smart traffic prioritization and band steering technology for smarter bandwidth allocation, the AC1900 Wi-Fi Router provides the optimal wireless performance that today's increasingly connected homes demand. Furthermore, for ultra-fast wired connectivity, this 11AC Router is equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet ports enabling wired speeds of up to 1000Mbps.

In addition to its range of advanced features for supreme performance, the AC1900 Wi-Fi Router features a brand new user interface that makes it easier than ever to control a network right from a smartphone or tablet device. Enabling parental controls, blocking unwanted devices, monitoring internet activity and creating Wi-Fi guest networks has never been simpler. The router supports simple setup using a mobile phone or tablet with the free Quick Router Setup (QRS) app.

More about the D-Link AC1900 Wi-Fi Router (DIR-880L):

  • 11AC Wi-Fi Dual Band Connectivity - Speeds of up to 1300 Mbps on the 5GHz band and 600Mbps on the 2.4GHz band for maximum throughput with less Wi-Fi interference
  • Gigabit Ethernet Ports - Four 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet ports provide high-speed wired connectivity
  • Brand New GUI - New intuitive user interface for simple management of a wireless network; optimized for mobile devices with touch enabled controls and designed to give users quick access to status and management of their router and connected devices.
  • Traffic Prioritization - Advanced QoS engine distributes traffic optimally across both wireless bands to guarantee the best performance
  • Wi-Fi Protected Setup - Push button for easy connection to a wireless network
  • Backward Compatible - Works with existing Wi-Fi devices (802.11n/g/b)
  • Secure Wireless Encryption - Uses WPA or WPA2 security

Availability and Pricing
The D-Link AC1900 Wi-Fi Router (DIR-880L) is now available for $189.99 throughout D-Link's vast network of retail and e-tail outlets.

Can't find any information on D-Links specs on D-Links website if this is IPv6 capable. Is it capable of IPv6 or no deal as I an also looking at the ASUS RT-N66U router to replace my old D-Link DGL-4100 router.
