Corsair Neutron NX500 SSDs Surface Online at 400GB and 800GB capacity
An unannounced product SSD series from Corsair has surfaced online at US based etailers, it is the Neutron NX500 SSD, an M2 SSD housed onto a PCI-Express daughter-board.
The unit would be able to manage up to 3,000 MB/s sequential performance and seem to be based on a Phison PS5007-E7 controller. There isn't any onfo available in the DRAM cache size There is no mention of 3D NAND either, but it is MLC flash and likely the same unit as used in the mp500 m2 ssd which shows 100% similar read/write specs.

Afaik the durability tests (read / writes) showed that actually the Corsair SSDs are taking a lot more writes than guaranteed. (Also, wasn't there a test forum here on guru3d too where they tested Neutrons? Or were those OCZ SSDs?)

Given that is installed on a pci-e card but has less storage than the Samsung pro/evo 960 equivalent i think its a pretty good price and given that my Samsung pro 960 500gb has suggested read speed of 3200 on m.2 pci-3.0 x4 but real world speed is around 2400 populated with 100gb free space i`d guess this is just behind the Samsung pro 960 or on par with the evo 960, so its down to a preference between Samsung or Corsair and whether the pci card actually servers as cooling.

Thats about the same or cheaper than Intels comparable drives, and 3GB/s is insanely fast.
